Writing has always been one of the ways I make sense of the world.
Where conversation happens in the moment, writing creates space to pause, reflect, and explore an idea more deeply. It allows me to sit with questions, follow them where they lead, and share what I've learned along the way.
Each book begins with something that feels important enough to spend time with—an observation, a question, a challenge, or a piece of the conversation that feels incomplete.
Healer, Heal Thyself began that way.
As I moved through my own work as a massage therapist and space holder, I realized there were important conversations that rarely appeared in professional training. We learn techniques. We learn assessment. We learn how to care for others.
Far less attention is given to what happens within the practitioner.
How do we hold space without carrying what isn't ours? How do we remain present without becoming depleted? How do we support others while remaining connected to ourselves?
This book was written to explore those questions.
It is an offering for massage therapists, bodyworkers, yoga teachers, and anyone whose work involves caring for others—a reminder that the relationship we have with ourselves is just as important as the care we provide.
