Below are the seven chakras, how their imbalances may show up, and gentle practices to bring each one back into harmony. Use your answers to reflect on which chakras may need extra care right now.
π΄ Root Chakra (Muladhara)
Imbalances may show up as: anxiety, restlessness, insecurity, feeling ungrounded, issues with safety or survival.
Support with: grounding practices, walking barefoot, eating root veggies, breath awareness, holding a stone like smoky quartz, practicing body scans or mulabandha (root lock).
π Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)
Imbalances may show up as: emotional volatility, guilt, lack of pleasure, sexual confusion, or creative blocks.
Support with: hip-opening movement, dancing, warm baths, creative expression, sacral breathing (pelvic bowl breath), and nurturing joy.
π‘ Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
Imbalances may show up as: control issues, low self-esteem, digestive trouble, or anger.
Support with: core-activating breathwork, setting healthy boundaries, sun exposure, burning bay leaves, and repeating affirmations like βI am powerful, I trust myself.β
π’ Heart Chakra (Anahata)
Imbalances may show up as: grief, bitterness, emotional walls, or trouble giving/receiving love.
Support with: chest-openers, loving-kindness meditation, breath into the heart space, green foods, and practicing compassion (for self and others).
π΅ Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
Imbalances may show up as: trouble speaking your truth, sore throats, withheld expression, or over-talking.
Support with: humming or chanting, journaling, sipping warm herbal teas, neck and jaw release, and affirmations like βI speak with clarity and kindness.β
π£ Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)
Imbalances may show up as: foggy thinking, nightmares, disconnection from intuition, overthinking.
Support with: meditation, alternate nostril breathing, screen-free time, dream journaling, resting the eyes, and visualizing indigo light between the brows.
βͺ Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)
Imbalances may show up as: spiritual disconnection, cynicism, lack of inspiration or direction.
Support with: silence, prayer, sitting under the sky, crown massage, meditating on stillness or divine connection, and surrender practices.
